My Relationship With Chozen Blood is Platonic – Nwagi

0

Curvaceous Swangz Avenue singer, Winnie Nwagi real names Nakanwagi Winnie, has come out to clear the air about her relationship with fellow singer, Chozen Blood.

The ‘jangu’ hit singer claims that her relationship with Chozen is purely platonic and they ain’t dating as many people assert.

In fact she revealed that she is single and that it’s because of people’s rumours, that she’s dating Chozen, that has made her single, as this scares many men who would love to approach her.

The mother of one has therefore cleared the air that her and Chozen Blood are just very close friends and nothing more than that as people expect.

She also went on to beg people to stop spreading false rumours of her dating the ‘slay queen’ singer that they are really scaring men who would wish to love her, thus continuing to stay single.

Nevertheless, Winnie Nwagi together with her Swangz Avenue fellow singers, Azawi and Vinka, have today given a helping hand of 750 kgs of rice to Ugandan Djs to help them out during this lockdown – each of the singers contributing 250 kgs of rice.

I Crush On Maama Fiina, She Gives Me Sleepless Nights – Abitex

0

On an interview on Spark TV’s Live Wire Show, popular events organizer Abby Musinguzi alias Abitex went on to disclose his fond feelings for the Uganda President of Traditional doctors, Maama Fiina – real names Sophia Namutebi. The events organizer affirms that Maama Fiina gives him sleepless nights and that if he dare gets a chance to come close to her she won’t survive him.

The featherweight events organizer went on to sing praises of the rich traditional doctor saying that she is a very decent and hard working woman every man would love to be in love with, and that since she is a widow and now a single woman, he would like to take that advantage to marry her.

abitex

However, when talked to Maama Fiina, she just laughed at the nanoscopic events organizer saying that she is a married woman who is soon introducing her man. Maama Fiina further claimed that she would have introduced her man by now only corona virus being the remedy, but after all this is over, she’s to introduce her man soon.

She however welcomed Abitex’s commendation and she also praised him for being a very responsible man who she barely hear in wrangles. Maama Fiina said that the only thing she can do for Abitex is giving him one of her young sisters or nieces in case he needs one, because their clan is too big but for her (Maama Fiina) case she’s already taken.

NBS TV Kurt Show presenter and singer Tuff B born Robert Ssekidde has also moved out to join the number of musicians who have come out to give back to the needy people during this quarantine.

singer and tv presenter Turf B

The ‘yambuna’ singer has today donated 1.5 tonnes (1,500 kilograms) of posho to the Corona Virus task force. However, out of the 1.5 tonnes of posho that the NBS TV presenter donated included a one tonne that specifically went to the support of Uganda journalists who are greatly affected due to the corona virus pandemic outbreak and this was handed over to the Uganda Journalists Association (UJA) president, Mbazira Bashir Kazibwe.

The remaining 500 kilograms of posho was then taken directly to the Prime Minister Office to support the other starving Ugandans, thus being the first journalist and one of the few musicians to donate to the needy during this corona virus lockdown. After his donation, the self-styled ‘Lonely Walker’ revealed that it is high time that fellow musicians and journalists acted exemplary in giving back to the needy.

Large up to yourself Tuff B and may God continue blessing the work of your hands!!!!

Bebe Cool Gives Posho to Djs, Journalists & TB Patients

After Lil Pazo challenging musicians by donating 80kgs of posho, several musicians have started emulating the ‘Bigooli’ singer by giving back to the needy people during this quarantine.

Among the musicians who moved out to Donate included Bebe Cool who has donated posho to specifically three categories of people; the Tuberculosis (TB) Patients, since he’s an ambassador of TB in Uganda, Djs – for playing Ugandan music, and Journalists.

The singer has donated 500 bags of posho to the TB Patients, 200 bags of posho to Journalists and 200 bags of posho to Djs.

The Gagamel boss has taken his donation to the authorized task force of covid-19, Prime Minister’s office and was highly appreciated by the Minister of Health, Acieng.

The ‘wire wire’ hit maker has lastly begged his fellow musicians, entertainment venue and bar owners to give back to the people, especially the djs who work in those places and are now starving.

Other musicians who have donated so far include; Bobi Wine, Mesach Ssemakula, Lil Pazo and Spice Diana, Raba daba, among others and many more have promised to give back, such as Eddy Kenzo.

Lil Pazo Won’t Bath For A Month Because of President’s Mention – Full Figure

0

As we informed you last week that singer Lil Pazo donated 80kgs of posho to the task force team of covid-19 in Uganda, the singer managed to get a mention and appreciation from the president of Uganda, Museveni, as he was addressing the nation yesterday about the pandemic Covid-19 (corona virus).

The ‘omwavu wakufa’ singer had however asked his fellow musicians to emulate what he did, after his donation, but seems some are unmoved by his donation including the wordy Full Figure.

Lil Pazo

Full Figure blasted Lil Pazo’s donation claiming that he was just looking for cheap popularity and wanted to get a mention from president Museveni. The unbothered Full Figure therefore says that since the LUNABE singer got a mention from the president then he won’t even bath for the entire month because his dream just came true.

Of course this is an insult and we definitely anticipate a retaliation from the soft-voiced singer, we shall keep you posted!!!

Bebe Cool Is Just Over Hyped But He Isn’t a Big Artist – Gift Ov Kaddo

0

During an exclusive interview with NBS TV (on Uncut), faded artist Gift Of Kaddo firmly censured that singer Bebe Cool isn’t a big artist but he’s just over hyped by media personnel.

The ‘traffic man officer’ hit maker claims that the Gagamel boss is over hyped and rated as a legendary artist in Uganda but he doesn’t fit that class.

Kaddo says that if at all Bebe Cool can’t even write a song by himself then there’s no reason of him being called a music star in Uganda.

However, we came to know that the two artists have grudges on each other from way back and this might have catapulted all this.

Otherwise if Gift ov Kaddo didn’t do this interview after smoking some drugs then he was found hungry, especially in this lockdown.

Lastly, however, the Kaddo Farm CEO refused to be called a faded artist and that he wants to be remembered as a music legend in Uganda just like Kabuye Semboga, Paul Kafeero, Maddox Sematimba, Bobi Wine, Jose Chameleone and others……but it seems the ‘faded’ (eh, sorry) Gift ov Kaddo forgot the meaning of ‘LEGEND’ or else he mistakenly mentioned it instead of ‘ONE HIT WONDER’.

Meanwhile, all the best legend (as he wishes)!!!!!

I Only Managed to Get a Name In Singing – Red Banton

0

As the country is under a temporary lockdown, many businesses are hugely affected and these include the music industry where musicians ain’t staging concerts anymore, which is their major source of income.

For this case, media is trying to look for some musicians and ask them about how the lockdown (quarantine) is treating them, and among the musicians the media has visited included the veteran singer, Red Banton.

Yesterday on Uncut Entertainment show of NBS and Sanyuka TVs they interviewed the ‘siva kampala’ hit singer, Red Banton, asking him about how the lockdown is treating him and of course he couldn’t hesitate to say it out that it has greatly affected them (musicians) but they just have to endure as it’s just a temporary situation.

The singer was then asked about the achievements he has yielded from singing, since he has sang for over 15 years, and the veteran singer gave an hilarious answer that he has managed to make himself a name across the country and nothing else.

The singer also said that singing in Uganda is only done out of passion, especially for his case, but there’s no money since even a song to be played on a TV or Radio station you have to pay presenters unlike in other countries which pay musicians once their music is played.

Red Banton also complained about copyright in Uganda claiming that this has also made Ugandan musicians too broke as other people use their work and don’t get paid. Red Banton has produced lots of hit songs in Uganda such as; siva kampala, balogo, kikumi kinana (180) ft Goodlyf, amanya gange amatufu, and many others.

Is Samson Kasumba’s Arrest justified?

0
Samson Kasumba

“My job is not just news, it’s a relationship…. It demands speed, accuracy, tests and stretches…… I have to be meticulous, current and consistent…. because I work with a leading brand… My name is Samson Kasumba and I am NBS always” Those are the words in one of NBS TV’s ads and it says a lot about him beside; “TV host, critical thinker and theologian who is keen on ethics” that he put on his Twitter profile! According to the Nile post, Samson Kasumba was arrested yesterday outside the Next Media offices after the Live at 9 news bulletin with Sheila Nduhukire.

Samson was then taken to Kira road police station according to a tweet from his co- anchor Sheila Nduhukire. While addressing the media, Uganda Police’s spokesperson Fred Enanga confirmed the arrest with charges of “subversive activities”; in contrary of what had earlier been reported: sedition! ” Our experts and detectives from electoral and political department are interrogating him, ” Enanga said adding that the self made TV host had been collaborative.

Mwenda Tweets Samson Arrest

Bold, accurate, reliable, balanced are some of the values of NBS TV for which Samson works and I choose to borrow the values for a while and dig into what the plosive grammar used by Uganda Police means; SUBVERSIVE… means to overturn, overthrow, ruin, corrupt and confound a foundation whereas SEDITION… means organised sentiment of rebellion or civil disorder against authority. With such unpalatable meanings, the Police further clears it that Samson’s arrest is in no way connected with his role as a journalist. According to Andrew Mwenda, a veteran journalist, the earlier charge; sedition, was thrown out by the Constitutional Court in 2009 under his petition according to his tweet which also claims that Police hit NBS TV this morning to arrest another TV host Simon Kaggwa Njala.

The bad got to worse when Samson was driven to his Naalya home by police in a white van registration number UAR 586B for a search. The action that causes a lot of contradiction apprehended police and brings a lot in question. Has the theologian departed from his value of being keen on ethics or is the police afraid of being keen on ethics??? That is a question for you and me!
