Uganda Premier League has been in action with a number of matches being played this evening.

Busoga FC formerly Kirinya Jinja SS has stunned hosts, Express FC at Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku after being helped with a stunning performance from danger-man Joel Madondo.

Madondo scored the opener before Frank Kalanda equalizing for the Red Eagles by converting from the spot after Douglas Muganga brought down Isaac Doka in the forbidden area of the unpleasant surfaced pitch that was destroyed during the concert that was hosted in the place on Sunday.

However, Coach George Ssemwogerere’s boys expectations were later cut shot after Madondo assisted Boban Zirintuusa to net the visitor’s second that also confirmed the three points for them in the bag.

The result piles more pressure on Express FC head coach who many Red Eagles faithful feel deserves the sack. They have won just one of their five home games this season (D1 L3) leaving them in 12th spot with 10 points from 10 games played while Busoga climbed into the 4th position with 16 points.

In the other games that were played, SC Vipers continued with the bragging rights on top of the Startimes sponsored league table after edging past new comers, Kyetume FC by 2 – 1 away from home.

Police FC also stunned the Purple Sharks, Wakiso Giants FC by 2 – 1 while BUL FC shared spoils with the limping Bright Stars FC with each side seeing the back of the net once.
