    Meet the Gorillas & Wildlife of Uganda

    Uganda has both wildlife and primates and this makes it a life time destination. The country has over 10 national parks and many wildlife reserves with full of diversity. These national parks and reserves have much to offer like game drives, both day and night, boat cruises where you can enjoy animals around the water bodies most especially in the afternoon they tend to come and take water, rest or swim.

    Among other popular activities in the Ugandan national parks include Mountain gorillas tracking, Chimpanzee Tracking, Nature walks, birding, community and culture, Golden monkey Tracking, Volcano climbing, Mountaineering and etc. All those activities can be done any time of the year.

    Mountain gorilla tracking is done in two national parks, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga National Park. They are all located in the western Uganda. Mgahinga is known for one habituated mountain gorilla family called Nyakagezi well as Bwindi National Park has quite many. The park has 4 regions, Rushaga, Ruhija, Buhoma and Nkuringa. Each of the region hosts different gorilla families and tracking start from the headquarters after briefing.

    A Uganda safari which includes wildlife viewing and primate tracking will reward you with non-forgettable experience. Such itinerary can cover Northern Uganda and gorilla tracking where parks like Kidepo Valley National Park and Murchison falls can be put into consideration. The Ziwa Rhino sanctuary at Nakitoma is also worth a visit.

    The safari can cover only western Uganda. Wildlife parks in the west include, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Semliki National Park and etc. Then after the Itinerary can extend to Uganda’s Bwindi National Park for gorilla tracking. Number of days to spend on gorilla safari will depend on the visitor’s time he or she has for the vacation, number of countries to visit and the kind of destinations to cover.

    There is also an option of covering the western Uganda tracking gorillas either in Mgahinga or Bwindi then after Head to the Eastern Uganda. Connection can be by flight or road in our spacious safari Land cruiser Jeeps. Eastern Uganda has Jinja where you can enjoy the source of the Nile, Lake Victoria, Kapchorwa and Mbale can offer you with Mountain Elgon, Sipi falls, and etc.

    After exploring all those regions of Uganda, the Itinerary can cover central where you can have the city tour around Kampala. Visiting Kabakas palace, Bahai temple, Gaddaffi Mosque, Namugongo shrine and etc., Visit Entebbe where you can go to Ngamba Island to spend some time with orphanaged chimpanzees, Visit Uganda wildlife education center, Mabamba swamp for shoe bill, Botanical Garden and not forgetting the beautiful beaches on Lake Victoria.

    Most of Uganda national parks are home to many species of birds some of them are Albertine endemic. Some are migratory and others are not. Almost every park has birding as an activity.
