    Uganda has a total of 10 national parks which rewards with varying adventure. These parks are savannah, tropics and mountainous according to the nature of the region. We discus some of the amazing camping sites which located in these different parks where you can go and camp while self driving in Uganda. Check through which can be the favorable camping grounds.

    Murchison Falls National Park

    This Uganda’s biggest national park by size and the most visited in Uganda. The park is famous for various reasons and chiefly the mighty Murchison falls roars have attracted many tourists to visit the park and watch these arguably the world’s most powerful waterfalls. Among the most common adventures done at Murchison Falls National Park include; Game drives, Boat launch, hiking to the top of the falls, nature walks, community walks, night game drives, chimpanzee tracking, and also rhino tracking at Ziwa is possible when visited Murchison Falls National Park.

    Camping sites at Murchison Falls National Park

    Red Chilli Campsite; the most common campsite in Murchison Falls National Park, the camp is more accessible as it’s located just about 20 meters from Para UWA information center. This campsite provide space for those travelers who traveled along with their camping tents, also provide camping tents for hire, and can avail you with their already established tents.

    Wild Camping at the Delta; it’s managed by UWA, the campsite is located at the delta point where the Victoria Nile joins with Albert to form the continuing Albert Nile. The delta point campsite has running, toilets water available in drums. When thinking of this amazing camping, then UWA has to assign you with an armed ranger guide.

    Bwanda Tembo Safari Camp; is located in the north-western region of Uganda. It’s situated about 6km from Tangi gate entering Murchison Falls National Park. Bwana Tembo is an exclusive safari camp located just near to Murchison Falls National Park. This is a classy campsite but as well avails space for hire to clients who have traveled along with their camping tents.

    Shoebill Campsite; The campsite overlooks the Albert Nile Delta situated at the edge of the park. The shoebill campsite offers a much affordable accommodation to travelers coming to this amazing Murchison falls national park the natural wonder. The campsite is located on the southern bank of Murchison Falls National Park.

    Camping sites at Queen Elizabeth National Park

    This is Uganda most popular national park globally, it was named to commemorate Queen Elizabeth Visit to Uganda in 1954. The park is the adventure giant of Uganda with the longest list of adventures. This park is located in western Uganda under the arrays of the Albertine rift valley, and overlooks both the Rwenzori and the Virunga forests.

    Mweya Campsite; It’s located on Mweya peninsular which is a scenic ground for the amazing Kazinga channel that connects both Lake Gorge and Lake Edward. Travelers must have their camping tents, it’s managed by UWA.

    Simba Safari Lodge; located in Kikorongo, the lodge offer a calm space for your camping experience.

    Kasenyi Campsite; the most common section of Queen Elizabeth National Park; camping at this campsite makes your eligible to watching variety of antelopes.

    One of the most common parks in Uganda, the park is common for hosting the highest mountain gorilla population in the world. The park is located in southwestern Uganda under the arrays of the Albertine Rift. Bwindi is the capital of gorilla trekking with the highest habituated gorilla families. There are variety of affordable lodging and campsites where you can enjoy your thrilling prior and after gorilla moments.

    This small park is beautified not only with the natural golden savannah outlook which is decorated with acacias, but the rich biodiversity makes this small park a cozy place for tourist in Uganda. When taking your safari on a camping basis, Lake Mburo National Park is very okay with variety of camping grounds. The lodge is located in western Uganda en-route to either Queen Elizabeth National Park or Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.     Campsites at Kidepo Valley National Park

    The remotest park to reach by road, Kidepo Valley National Park is located in Northeastern Uganda. This stand to reflect the true African wilderness considering the widely open landscape. Kidepo features an open landscape of savannah dotted with spaced acacia and sausage trees. The park accommodates over 13 primate species which is considered to be the highest concentration of primates in one forest. As well, the park accommodates about 500 chimpanzees which some are habituated for tracking. Chimpanzee tracking at Kibale National Park might be the best chimpanzee tracking in East African, Africa at large.
