Rajiv Ruparelia Joins Motorsport, Unveils Monster Race Car

The motorsport fraternity has got a new challenger and this is none other than money bags Rajiv Rupaleria, a son to Ugandan billionaire Sudhir Rupaleria.

Recently, Rajiv announced his plans of joining Motorsport as he unveiled a monster Rally Car Worth almost $250,000 at Speke road based Rock Bar. The rally car is of a Volkswagen Polo Proto and he nicknamed it ‘Double Trouble’.

According to Rajiv him self, he joined motorsport to have fun as well as feed his strong passion for rallying.

“I decided to join rallying just to feed my strong passion for motorsport. I also want to have fun.” he said.

Stats of the Car

According to technicians, the Polo Proto can attain a speed of 100km/hr in just 4.2 seconds.

Ready for the Challenge

Sources have it that Rajiv is all set to take on a new challenge and has been preparing for this for some time. It is said that last month, he joined Rallystar Academy in South Africa for specialized rally training and he is under the mentor-ship of Africa’s number one rally trainer and former multiple South African rally champion Leone Botha.

Rallying is not something you just wake up and take on. I decided to join a rally school to get myself equipped with some experience” he added.

Rajiv is a vibrant entrepreneur who currently runs the multibillion Rupaleria Group business empire on behalf of the family and also a Crane management managing director.

Several rally driver and members of the rally fraternity including Ronald Ssebuguzi, Duncan ‘Kikankane’ Mubiru, Ambrose Byona ‘Omunyeeto’, Desh Kananura among others rallied behind him and showed him support during the launch.
