SK Mbuga’s wife Vivian Bail Application Dismissed

It is not good news from the camp of Vivian Chebet, the wife to the jailed tycoon and socialite SK Mbuga after court denying her bail.

This follows the Anti-Corruption Court recently dismissing the bail application filed by Vivian Chebet and ordered to go back to Luzira prison where she is being charged with two counts of money laundering and obtaining money by false pretense.

In the bail application, Chebet with her lawyer Emmanuel Walusimbi had argued that she should be set free since she is a law abiding citizen and will report to court whenever she is required. However, the Magistrate Pamela Lamunu rejected turned it down due to lack of substantial sureties and a record of not complying to bail conditions.

Vivian Angella Chebet is the wife of socialite Sulaiman Kabangala aka SK Mbuga who is currently inprisoned in Sweden over making fraudulent deals.

According to prosecution, Chebet fraudulently transferred over Shs23 billion from a company account she was running with her 71-year old Swedish boyfriend, Sten Heinsoo to her Barclays account in Uganda.

She was arrested in Sweden last year, prosecuted and was temporarily released on bail but banned from traveling outside Sweden where she also has a valid citizenship but later fled and came back to Uganda.

This has created a panic of data loss and Personal details exposure to wrong personels. The development has been also confirmed by Facebook itself though claims that the breakdown is due to routine & planned maintenance.

Mean while, by the time of publication, there hasn’t been any claim from anybody to be responsible for this.

Captain Marvel Movie: Review, Actors and Release Date

It is now more than ten years since Marvel Cinematic Universe released its first Superhero movie, Iron Man (back in 2018) and has so far released more than 20 including Captain America, Avengers, Black Panther, Hulk among others varying in terms of powers and personality.

However, none of these had the main character or the main role being led by a Woman. This is the main reason why Marvel has finally decided to make Captain Marvel, their first female-driven superhero film.

Movie Review

Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior Vers (Brie Larson) who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Living on Earth in 1995, she keeps having recurring memories of another life as U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers.

With help from Nick Fury, Captain Marvel tries to uncover the secrets of her past while harnessing her special superpowers to end the war with the evil Skrulls.

The movie was named and directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Geneva Robertson-Dworet also helped in the writing.

The 125 minutes movie is set to be released on March 8, 2019 (Women’s day) in the United States of

America and UK among other European countries. In Africa and India, it is set to be released on the 15th of March 2019.

Who is Captain Marvel?

In the source comics Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel, is an officer in the US Air Force whose DNA is fused with an alien’s during an explosion, giving her the powers of superhuman strength, flight and energy projection.

The Kree alien whose DNA she now possesses is actually Mar-Vell, the original Captain Marvel from the comics, though Danvers has held the name in the source material as well.

The Story

Captain Marvel’s origin story begins as Kree warrior Vers visits Earth on a mission to stop a shape- shifting alien infiltration. She teams up with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to save the planet from a war between two alien races. As she regains lost memories, she realizes the extent of her own powers and develops into the universe’s most powerful superhero.

Main Motive to its Make

Captain Marvel stands out among the Avengers movies (and most superhero movies) in that women hold significant filmmaker roles: writing, directing, producing, and editing. It was made to appreciate Women by Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Latest on the buzz desk is faded singer Pretty Glo escaping from the rehabilitation center where she was taken to fight drug addiction after spending there a few hours.

According to a close source, Pretty Glo locked the bathroom door, broke the window, jumped over the fence and disappeared in thin air.

This followed the singer being checked into the rehab earlier this week after being nabbed stealing a phone from one of the downtown shopping malls in Kampala.

It was noted that it was drugs disturbing her and this is where she was then offered a helping hand by socialite and proud prostitute Shanita Namuyimbwa a.k.a Bad Black who took and paid about Ugsh 6M for rehab as well a buying her new clothes with hopes of getting better both mentally and physically.

World’s Most Expensive New Car Unveiled: Bugatti ‘La Voiture Noire’

Been wondering which could be the World’s Most Expensive New Car? Bugatti, the French super car maker mid this week unveiled the world’s most expensive new car, the La Voiture Noire.

Though the exact price is not being revealed, it is estimated at at least £9.5 millions, overtaking the previous new car record of about £7-8m for a Rolls-Royce Sweptail. It was built to celebrate Bugatti’s 110th anniversary.

This was unveiled at the Geneva car show that is dominated by new electric super cars. According to the

Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann, the La Voiture Noire – The Black Car – combines “extraordinary technology, aesthetics and extreme luxury”.

The model was inspired by an earlier model, the Bugatti Type 57 SC Atlantic, of which only four were made between 1936 and 1938.

The Body & Engine

The engine power of the La Voiture Noire is estimated to be about 20 times a Ford Fiesta. The luxury jet black sports car has a 16-cylinder engine, 1,500 horsepower and six exhaust pipes.

It was handcrafted for a car collector who probably identifies with the motto of company founder, Ettore Bugatti: “If it is comparable, it is no longer Bugatti.”

Speed

Though Bugatti doesn’t say exactly how fast the car goes, the specs are similar to another of Bugatti’s astonishing pieces of engineering, the Chiron that reaches 62mph in 2.4 seconds and has a top speed of 261mph.

Bugatti was founded in 1909 and currently based in Molsheim, in France’s Alsace region. It is owned by the German carmaker Volkswagen that purchased in in 1998.
