Schools Ready For Aga Khan Swimming Gala

This weekend, ten schools will participate in the annual Aga Khan School’s swimming gala one of the biggest events of Uganda Swimming Federation (USF) at Upper Kololo.

Aga Khan’s Swimming coach Tony Kasujja said “It’s a major event where we spotted some of the best young swimmers for the nation and this year the competition will be highly competitive like usual.”

Schools entered the number of swimmers who will take part in the event and the numbers are summed up as follows.

  • Kampala Junior Academy 52
  • Kampala Parents School 50
  • International School of Uganda next 46
  • Rainbow International School of Uganda 43
  • Hosts Aga Khan School 39 swimmers

The Aga Khan swimming gala attracts children aged between 9 -14. National junior swimmers like Namutebi Kirabo and Tendo Mukalazi are expected to win some medals.

The junior national swimmers will use this event as a build up towards the upcoming CANA III and IV swimming championships that will be hosted by Kampala Parents School from April 24-27.
