    Sheebah Karungi Nominated in MTV EMA Awards

    Fans and well wishers of Singer Sheebah Karungi are over the moon upon receiving the news that the ‘Swag mama’ has secured a nomination in the MTV EMA Awards.

    Sheebah was nominated in the Best African Act category where she will be battling against other African Giants like Master KG (S.A), Kabza de Small and DJ Maphorisa (S.A), REMA (Nigeria), Gaz Mawete (DRC), and Burna Boy (Nigeria).

    The excited Sheebah also confirmed the development and took to social media to share the good news.

    Sheebah now becomes the second Ugandan Artist to secure a nomination in these prestigous awards after Kampala Lord Mayor Aspirant Joseph Mayanja a.k.a Jose Chameleone in 2007 under the same category that he lost to D’banj.

    According the Wikipedia, the MTV Europe Music Award (MTV EMA) is an award presented by Viacom International Media Networks to honour artists and music in pop culture. It was originally conceived as an alternative to the MTV Video Music Awards, which are hosted annually in the United States. The Europe Music Awards are held every year in a different country; it has been hosted mostly in the United Kingdom. The annual presentation ceremony features performances by prominent artists, and the presentation of those awards that have a more popular interest.
