A Number Critically Injured as Cargo Trailer Rams into 6 Cars at Kiira Rd

One person has been reported to be dead following a horrible accident that occurred at Kiira road police station junction as a trailer rammed into over 6 cars stuck in traffic jam.

According to eye witnesses, a cargo trailer lost control due to a failure in the breaks and rammed into vehicles and motorcycles that had been stopped by the traffic lights to collide with over 8 vehicles & motorcycles. The vehicles included 2 taxis full of passengers, a pioneer bus, 4 boda boda motorcycles and other private vehicles.

A number of injuries have been recorded with reports that the immediate confirmed number of deaths is one, a boda cyclist.

Police is still doing it’s best to cut the vehicles down to remove the injured.
