AFCON21: Uganda Share Spoils with Burkina Faso in 1st Qualifying Campaign

Uganda Cranes has started the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations campaign on a promising note after securing a crucial point away from home.

This was the first qualifying campaign for the Cranes as they were taking on Burkina Faso on Ouagadougou, today Wednesday 13th November evening.

The match ended goalless after each side failing to force the ball cross the line at Stade Du 4 Aoùt.

The Cranes did a lot of defending to secure the vital point and Coach Johnny’s boys are yet to score against Burkinabe in 270 minutes.

Uganda is currently third in Group B Table Standings with Malawi leading with 3 points, Burkina Faso and Uganda second with a point and South Sudan last with no point.

Meanwhile, the Cranes will be playing their 2nd match this Sunday at Mandela Natuonal Stadium, Namboole taking on Malawi.
