    Ministry of Education Sets Dates for 2020 National Exams (PLE, UCE & UACE)

    The Ministry of Education has released a new academic calendar of schools re-opening for candidate classes as well as proposed dates for the seating of the final exams of the Primary, Ordianry and Advanced levels of Education.

    In the new calender, candidates in primary, secondary, technical schools, community polytechnics and final year students will resume their studies on Monday 21, 2020.

    The announcement comes shortly after the ministry came up with strategies to ensure effective implementation of specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the phased reopening of the educational institutions.

    According to the document reased;
    – Candidates will begin with second term from—- to —– December before the third terms starts on —– January to —– April.
    – The Uganda Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) will begin on — and end on —
    – The Uganda Certificate of Education Examinations (UCE) are set to begin on — and end on….
    – The Uganda Advanced Level of Education Examinations, (UACE) are set to begin on — and end on ——

    The Academic Year was prematurely cut short on March 18, 2020, as a precautionary measure to control the spread of the Coronavirus disease, COVID-19 that has put the world on hold for morethan half a year.
