Mr Emeka Oguch is an entrepreneur, tech expert and philanthropist.
He’s the founder of Pointek Technologies, whose aim is to provide cheap and quality gadgets and technological accessories in Africa through his e-commerce website
In this vein, he is working to implement a project to attract young people to join the Tech Industry.
We sat down with Mr. Emeka Oguchi for a short interview:
What was the idea behind Pointek Technologies?
-A lot of people in Africa, especially the youth, are now embracing Technology and more and more demands for Technological products, so together with my team we decided to form an ecommerce website where people can buy these gadgets at a cheaper rate but gain quality.
What’s your plans for Pointek in 10 years to come?
-My plans are many but first, in 10 years I foresee Pointek becoming a household name globally, we have already captured the Nigerian market.
Do you have any career plans for the youth of Nigeria?
-Yes, I have a lot of plans but first my focus is on establishing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) center where we can train hundreds of Nigerian youth to embrace AI because Artificial Intelligence is here to stay and there are a lot of job offers in that industry.
How many people have you employed?
-I have employed a lot of people, so far we have a lot of people working at our branches and some also serve as customer care reps.
Do you intend to venture into Politics?
-No one can tell, but for now my focus is on my business and expanding my territories.
