Baba Television a subsidiary of Baba Media Group has suspended its morning show presenters over a video on Minister Persis Namuganza censure.
Sir Simon Muyanga Lutaaya who also doubles as the TV’s quality Assurance Consultant was suspended alongside Amakondhe’s news anchor Lukia Suubo and their Corporate and Public affairs Manager Adam Kungu.
Former Jinja West MP and businessman Grace Moses Balyeku owns the Television.
Baba TV management in an official communication on their twitter and Facebook pages confirmed the suspension of the 3 presenters.
The crew on Tuesday, January 24,2023 at 07:36hrs recorded a video clip about the censure of Lands and Housing State Minister Persis Namuganza by Parliament in which they were sarcastic and ridiculous according to the Television Management. here is the link –
In the video, the three are heard ‘thanking’ Parliament for censuring Namuganza who they referred to as Uganda’s ‘leading problem’.
Muyanga Lutaaya and Adam Kungu earlier posted on their twitter pages confirming that they had been suspended on the orders of a powerful authority.
They also recorded and have been circulating a video clip of their apologies to the Uganda Communications Commission, the Speaker of Parliament Anita Annet Among, her Deputy Thomas Tayebwa and the legislators.
