UPDF sets up 100 bed field hospital

The Uganda Police Defense Forces (UPDF) has prepared a 100 Bed Capacity Unit at Bombo to Handle Covid-19 Patients.

The UPDF has fnished settings a 100 bed emergency hospital unit at the Bombo Millitary Barracks to handle the increasing number of Corona Virus victims.

This emergency hospital is to be utilized by the Ministry of Health, in case the available government hospitals that are treating Covid-19 patients get overwhelmed.

According to the UPDF Land Forces Public Relations Officer Lieutenant Colonel Henry Obbo says the hospital, which is at level II of UN standards will be fully operational by the end of the week.

Currently, Covid-19 patients are handled at the Entebbe Grade B Hospital and Mulago National Referral Hospital.
