    MP Bobi Wine’s Driver Shot in Arua

    The driver for the Kyaddondo East Member of Parliament, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has been shot dead in Arua. The driver was shot inside Bobi Wine’s car and little is known about how he was shot. Some reports say that he was shot by a stray bullet from the Police or SFC who has come to arrest his boss, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.

    This news was first learnt this from the tweet made by Bobi Wine that reads;

    “Police has shot my driver dead thinking they’ve shot at me. My hotel is now cordoned off by police and SFC” Bobi Wine. #Arua” It read

    The deceased has been identified as Yasin Kawuma and he has been working with Bobi Wine during the campaigns to fill the Arua Municipality that ran vacant after the assasination of Hon. Ibrahim Abiriga in June 2018.

    UPDATE:

    Close sources has it that the innocent driver was shot during the fracas that erupted today Monday evening in Aura Municipality during the commencing of the Arua Municipality Election Campaigns. It has been established that there was a fracas in which President Museveni’s convoy as stoned by allegedly Opposition Supporters.

    Later things turned violent when the Special Forces Command Officers who are Museveni’s body guards stormed up the hotel in search of Bobi Wine and other Opposition Members who had camped in Arua to campaign for Kassiano Wadri.

    Reports have emerged that several MPs have been arrested. These include Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine (Kyadondo East), Hon. Gerald Karuhanga (Ntungamo Municipality), Hon. Mwiru (Jinja Municipality), Hon. Zzaake (Mityana Municipality), Kassianno Wadri and three others so far arrested.
