outing

I’m sure you have already heard the old saying, ‘working all day makes you a dull boy.’ It applies to the workaholics as they spend most of their time in office, all tied up with work and taking out little or no time for themselves. I must say, people will become dull and boring if they won’t take out time for some adventure and extracurricular activities.

To stay healthy, successful and even more productive you need to make outside interest a priority. So, what you’ll be doing from now on? Here’s a list to follow.

1. Take Out Sometime To Go For An Outing

After spending a long day at the office, it’s always good to take a deep breath in the fresh air. It can be regenerative for your body. Try stretching your legs, senses and absorb the healing properties of Nature. As a matter of fact, sitting under fluorescent lights all day long is not good for your health.

It’s always good to take some time out from a busy schedule and get engaged in the outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, skiing, surfing or bird watching. It helps you gain a new perspective on life. In fact, an hour long walk during lunchtime might be extremely beneficial for your health as well.

2. Get physical

In fact, our bodies aren’t structured to sit all day while hunching over the PC as it will eventually destroy your health. Mayo Clinic Director, Dr, James said, ‘Sitting is the new way of smoking’ Just make sure that you go to the gym daily, or you have a treadmill at home, or you’re up to an in-house exercise routine.

Take out at least 10 minutes from your busy schedule and stretch yourself or do some Yoga while listening FM Radio Online. You can download the tutorials or visit some websites that offer affordable monthly memberships for people who want to live a healthier lifestyle. Movement, no doubt will strengthen your body and mind.

3. Shake Up Your Routine

To get productive, you need to break your routine. Working on the same schedule every day, can’t stimulate the creative person lying inside you. By putting yourself in a new setting, trying a new skill and visiting an adventurous destination will make you livelier and happier.

You should experience new things, to maintain a bright viewpoint and nurture your inquisitiveness. You just need to expand your interest and believe me; you’ll become a more interesting person, as it’s an attractive trait who wants to keep stepping up the ladder.

4. Be Creative

Staying curious is an art as well. It’s a fact that learning is an ongoing process and is essential to our lives. There are two types of knowledge; either through classroom style or experiential learning.

Despite nature, you’ll find people expanding their skills. You can plan to have an art class, take up photography classes and much more. You never know which skill will become a requirement at work or creates another revenue generating opportunity for you.

5. Cultivate Friendships

Have you ever seen leaders sitting in their offices all day long? I’m sure not. They stay out and build relationships with prospective customers to help their businesses grow. A great leader never relies on shallow connections.

They’ll  take some time and build deep relationships among those they respect and admire. They don’t mind sharing a meal with the clients, inviting them to a business or charity event, or taking them to the sporting or cultural event. Get together always help in strengthening the bond.

6. Stay connected with family

We all have the same number of hours in the day, but real leaders always take out some quality time for the people they love. Never be the person who can’t have enough time for their loved ones. Always put family first.
