The HiPipo music awards are back once again. The organizers have published a full list the nominees for the 9th edition of these successful awards. This follows a two months’ submission of nominees and clean-up process.

This edition has seen an increasing number of artists not only from Africa but also the African continent. There are over 20 nominees from sub-Saharan and North Africa countries and therefore this year’s event will be a mega event.

The HiPipo Music Awards celebrates and promotes music, musicians and artistic excellence in Africa. Organized by Hipipo, a digital entertainment company based in Kampala, the awards have been growing in popularity over the past 5 years . The first “HiPipo Charts Festival”, aka First HiPipo Music Awards, was held in Kampala in 2012.
