Girl, 16, Beheads Father Who barred her to Marry, Mum Instructed Me

0

What’s the worst thing you can do to one of your parents after refusing to allow you marry your loved one? Wait, before telling me your answer, read this. A girl in Abuja – Nigeria has been arrested after beheading her father for denying her consent to get married.

Emani Kure is the 16-year-old who got arrested after she hacked her father Kusha Kure, 40, in Karavan after he refused to allow her marry a one Nasiru Musa,24, an already married man.

Kure had reportedly been dating Musa, but the fact that he had another wife for two years, it did not sit well with the father, thus the denial.

My father has beaten me several times, to stop me from marrying Nasiru. Around 3.00am on March 11, my mother told me while we were sleeping outside, to go into my father’s room where he was sleeping. She said that I should take his cutlass and kill him.

I ran to where my father always keeps his cutlass and went to his room. I cut him on the neck with the cutlass while my mother held his leg.” The Killer girl narrated.

Nasiru did not know that I wanted to kill my father. He was shocked when he heard that I killed my father,” Kure added.

Meanwhile, Kure’s mother Asabe, 35, has so far denied any involvement in the gruesome killing and blames it on the jilted lovers.

I went to the Bwari Police Division to report that my husband was killed in his room. I told the police that I suspected my daughter and her boyfriend. Later the police arrested Nasiru and my daughter. She confessed to the crime but claimed that I gave her instruction to kill my husband. I was not involved in killing my husband,” Asabe rejected her daughter’s claims.

Fallen Love on the Rock: Holes in ‘Licked’ Makerere Girl’s Evidence

0

As the news and photos of the Makerere University Kenyan Girl who was allegedly harassed by her Lecturer keeps on trending all over the world, there has emerged new evidence that clearly shows that the two were an item before their love falling on the rock.

Njoroge Rachael has so far received sympathy with her story running on BBC, United Nations is considering her to be the ambassador against sexual harassment. The president of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta has allegedly issued a statement inviting her home while being waited for by a team of 17 Lawyers who are ready to take up her case demanding Makerere University to pay her UGX 3Billions.

However, according to evidence, analysts say the Girl is not revealing the truth. Here are the Punches in Rachael’s Evidence

Graduation Photo

In the Picture above, extreme left is the ‘accused’, Mr Kisuze Edward on the Rachael’s graduation. It clearly shows that these two were actually sharing something before the fateful day, hopefully when their love reached a dead end.

After Bad Blood developed along the way, she might have been from the onset of a revenge mission.

Unclear Rape Evidence

According to the victim’s written evidence below, there is no clear sign of rape but evidence of consensual sex. Ms Njoroge alleges that there was a scuffle, but nothing shows a sign of a scuffle.

“As I was looking through them (her certified transcripts), the man who had given me m transcripts turned to be inhuman to me, He grabbed my boobs and started licking them as he lamented how much he loved me. I tried resisting his actions but he was more strong… He grabbed me and threw me over the file cabinets at the corner where my head was hurt by the files and he started kissing my thighs… ” She writes

Her bag and top are very much in order. The files are in great order and even the Lip-stick showing no sign of kissing. It seem she is not telling the world how he even accessed the goodies.

Her Statement continues that, “…. he started kissing my thighs and breasts and he told me that he had to lick my Vagina. When he was in the process, I got m phone out and captured shots because I realized there was no cameras in the room… ”

Njoroge’s Written Evidence

Was she already full naked to be kissed on the breasts yet we are seeing the top in the right order? No where states that she screamed for help but just took out her phone to take the selfie, no sign of rape here. She was putting on a trouser that day but she doesn’t tell us whether Kisuze removed it forcefully or by her self.

According to all this, there are still more holes to be punched in her evidence.. The current sign are all clear that the two just failed to reach a mutual understanding in their relationship before she decided to spill out the beans.

Meanwhile, Married Kisuze ‘Harasser’ Edward, is sill cooling down his sweat from Wandegeya police station following being arrested yesterday Tuesday 17th April 2018. He was also suspended from the University as investigations continues.

Uganda’s Mountain Parks Might Be the Last Refuge in a Changed Climate

0
Rwenzori Mountains

The Rwenzori Mountains and Mount Elgon, the bookends of Uganda, may provide a last bastion for biodiversity in Uganda in a changing climate.  While these mountainous national parks get fewer visitors and fewer conservation dollars than the savanna parks and gorilla parks with their charismatic wildlife, they might turn out to be the most important ones to protect.

Global Warming” Is A Distraction

Most people know by now that “Global Warming” is an unfortunate misnomer, giving ammunition to climate change deniers who say “yeah, but my backyard has gotten .06 degrees cooler on average over the last six months.”

The reality is that some places will get colder, some will get warmer, some will get wetter and some will get dryer.  There is a very complex dynamic that determines our climate, which is why scientists look at the “big picture” rather than just localized information.

Likewise, climate change will not impact all species equally.  My unscientific guess is that coyotes and cockroaches will do fine in a changing climate, just like they always do.  They are incredibly adaptive generalists, they are mobile, they delight in popping up wherever people least expect them, and coyotes, at least, breed more rapidly under stress.  Very few governments will need to invest in a Cockroach Conservation Strategy.

Wildlife Will Need Options in a Changing Climate

But what about species like plants that are less mobile, or animals that have more specific habitat needs?  For those species, it is important to have a variety of climate conditions in a concentrated area so that they can find a suitable place to live.  In a flat expanse of land, it might be many miles before you reach a different temperature or vegetation zone.  On a mountain, however, moving just a few feet could completely change your reality.

Mountains have possibly the widest variance of ecosystems per square kilometer of any landscape.  Not only are there extreme temperature differences resulting from altitudinal change, but the angle of a slope and its exposure to the sun can make one spot completely different from another just around the corner.  A crevice in a rock can provide protection from winds that make the surface of the very same rock uninhabitable.  Snowpack on a protected slope can insulate plants and trees that would freeze solid on a slope that gets blown clean during the winter.

According to a recent study done in the Swiss Alps, “alpine terrain is for the majority of species a much ‘safer’ place to live under conditions of climate warming, compared to flat terrain which offers no short-distance escapes from the changing temperatures.”

The Human Factor

As the lower elevations in Uganda become hotter and dryer, and thus less suitable for agriculture, humans will also begin to move to find better habitat.  Our legendary mobility will always give us an advantage over the other species that are trying to relocate (except, of course, the cockroach which will be there waiting for us).

With Uganda’s population projected to exceed 100 million by 2050 (nearly tripling the current 32-34 million), there will be incredible pressure on every square inch of arable land.  If there is going to be any space left for maintaining the biological diversity of this country, we need to be sure the mountain parks in Uganda are receiving the attention and funding they deserve.

Silent Treatment: What to Do When Your Lover Goes Mute

0

There are those times when your better half decides to keep mum at home more so after a simple mis understanding. There are those kinds that always give their partners a silent treatment even on smallest issus that don’t need a vast expalanation. A silence treatment may be ignored at first but it has led to many young couples parting ways just beause of the ignorance on what should be done next.

In case she/ he decides to go mute, try out the following, they might help get him/ her back.

Relax

First of all, you have to relax. You should keep it mind that tough times and challenges will be always there as long as you are still living together. Don’t be irrational or frantic. Just keep on xercising patience.

Here, you have to look back at what could have sparked the silence. Is it something you said? Something you did or didn’t do or a misunderstanding?

Pray to God

If you are a beleiver, Let God/ Allah reveal to you how to go about it. Repent to God if you’ve done wrong. Pray that God makes your spouse’s heart moldable and receptive. You can even spiritual music in the house so that the presence of God feels the home. In the fullness of God there is fullness of joy.

Apologize

If you realise that it was after a mistake that was done by you, you should aplogise. Some times even if what you said or did was right, you still want him/ her back, you should aplogise. What you said might have came out wrongly.

Remember that ove is not about proving who is wrong or right. What you need is for your spouse to warm up to you by you showing you are understanding. Say sorry as you give eye contact, if you are being avoided, write a text or a letter, reach out.

Note: But don’t over apologize, Just do one good sincere apology then give your spouse time for the apology to sink in. It is enough.

Listen to Music

Listen to the kind of music that you think can calm and warm up your heart. If it dancehall or reggae, play it loud.. If it is slow grooves or spiritual music, play it cool..

Keep Available

You can Present yourself to your spouse by just keeping around. Even if you two won’t talk, just be available. When you realise a simple change in her/ his minds, Start light conversations. But, don’t bring up the topic or tell your spouse to lighten up and stop acting cold. Attack will only make your spouse defensive.

Here, you can talk about how your day has been even if you get cold or brief feedback. She/ he may be silent but you talk just like you used to, amidst happiness and smiles. A warm demeanor is always attractive.

Do what she /he Likes

Cook your spouse’s favorite meal, buy her/ his best movie, Give warm eye contacts, dress sexy in bed.
Here, you can even do something different in the bedroom. Go all out in arousing and pleasing your spouse. Make love since intimacy breaks down walls.

When your spouse is now more intimate with you, talk about the matter in depth, each giving their opinion without being judged. Talk about the root cause, how it feels. Tell your spouse it is difficult to deal with matters when you give each other silent treatment, but still telling your spouse you understand why he/she went silent.

Wrap it up

Reaching here, it seems like he/ she can understand and ready to lit up the flames again. Apologize once again, forgive if wrong, agree on a way forward, how to deal with the issue in future.

You already got him/ back… You can Hug and kiss, cuddle, release. Say how much you need each other. Pray for your marriage together that God will keep molding you two. Cover your marriage with prayer.

Make love, go back to loving, laugh, talk about other positive stuff. Wake up in the morning smiling. Leave the matter in the past. It has been resolved. Move on.

UWA Should Stop the Killing of Lions in Queen Elizabeth National Park

0

This morning the Tourism Private Sector met at the offices of AUTO (the Association of Uganda Tour Operators), in one voice to condemn the heinous killing of 11 lions that were allegedly poisoned in Queen Elizabeth National Park. In one voice, the tourism fraternity condemned the killing of lions and emphasized that the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) should ensure the protection of wildlife in Ugandan national parks.

Present at the meeting were heads of associations and different tourism private sector agencies including the Association of Uganda Tour Operators (AUTO), Uganda Tourism Association (UTA), Presidential Investors Round Table (PIRT), Uganda Safari Guides Association (USAGA) and the Uganda Hotel Owners’ Association (UHOA).

We were privileged to have several media houses with us, and continue to thank the press for their relentless support in covering stories of pertinent tourism importance.

Below is a summary of the collective consensus by the tourism private sector

1. We jointly condemn this malicious act
2. We jointly agree that there is need for nationwide sensitization of the public on the importance of wildlife, and there’s need to engage communities even more in wildlife protection.
3. There is need to amend Uganda’s laws that govern the protection of wildlife, and make these tougher. Expedite the revision of the wildlife Act.
4. Relocate and resettle communities living in the National Park, in the same way we are always praised for resettling refugees.
5. Killing predators impacts on the food chain, affects ecosystem balance and thus directly impacts on our businesses and the tourism value chain as a whole. We not only lose the poisoned lions but the scavengers like vultures that will eat the carcasses and all other microorganisms around the same area are also lost.

We must all jointly conserve nature (both fauna and flora) for future generations.
