Locally in Uganda, he doesn’t really fit in the same mould with his fellow musicians as he is honestly a class apart chiefly when it comes to International scene. Eddy Kenzo has gone further to blow his own trumpet that he is far better than Tanzania’s crooner, Diamond Platinumz, and Nigeria’s hoarse-voiced Burna Boy.

This happened after Eddy Kenzo was interviewed and asked why he thinks he was ranked ahead of Diamond Platnumz when Nigeria-based Global Ranking revealed the top 10 African musicians of the last decade. On this list, Eddy Kenzo finished 9th ahead of Diamond Platnumz who finished 10th as Burna Boy missed out on the list as well.

The self-styled young Mandela seemed to be very confident that he really deserves to be on top of the two artists whom the interviewer was trying to juxtapose him with. The BET Award winner said he has really stood for a test of time as compared to the Wasafi CEO singer and he has always been consistent year in, year out!

Going ahead to defend himself, the Big Talent boss said some people think that the Babalao singer is too big because of the youtube views which he blasted saying that he gets many views simply because Tanzania’s internet is very cheap contrary to Uganda’s.

For the sake of Burna Boy, he said the Nigerian superstar has few original songs to his name as he keeps on redoing early musicians’ songs yet he (Eddy Kenzo) composes his own songs. He also said that Diamond is mainly a collaborator and most of his hit songs are collabos unlike him.
