The draws for the second edition of the Sseninde Women Development Cup have been held this afternoon ahead of the tournament.
The placing of the teams was done on Tuesday afternoon with the four teams drawn into two groups of four.
In pool A, Bugema University who played at the tournament last year return and are in the same group with debutants Nangabo Women FC from Gayaza.
The other teams in pool A include G3 Girls Academy (Kampala) and Mwandha Foundation from Iganga.
Pool B has Mityana’s Jeeza Teenage Girls, Soccer22Unite from Kabale, Mukono Bishops SS and Lady Doves from Masindi.
The tournament funded by Crested Cranes midfielder Jean Sseninde who also plies her trade at Crystal Palace in the English Women Premier League focuses on giving a platform to the unidentified talent and the less privileged.
Therefore, footballers playing in the Fufa Women Elite league are ineligible to feature in the tournament.
This will be the second time the tournament is taking place after the inaugural one last year at Villa park.
Already, the tournament has registered successes with proven products that played last year. Among them include Najjemba Fauzia and Shamira Nalujja currently playing at Isra Academy.
Taggy High School from Entebbe were the champions last year. This years edition is slated to take place on 15th December at Startimes stadium,Lugogo.
