Nabweteme Doubtful Ahead of Start of Second Round

Great American Conference
South Western Oklahoma State University vs North West Oklahoma State University

Ahead of the start of the second round of the Great American Conference (GAC), lethal striker Sandra Nabweteme is doubtful to feature in today’s game.

South West Oklahoma state University (SWOSU) host rivals North West Oklahoma state University (NWOSU) at the Athletic complex seeking to cement their lead at the top of the conference table.

However, SWOSU’s head coach Mark Persson will have concern about leading top scorer Sandra Nabweteme who is struggling with a groin injury that could see her miss the Tuesday’s clash.

Nabweteme leads the scoring charts for the Bulldog this season with 16 goals in 11 games. The reigning best FUFA female player did not take part in Monday’s training and will be subjected to a late fitness test if she is to play against NWOSU.

Speaking to Chimpreports, the on form striker indicated she still feels pain after picking the injury last week.

” It was minor at the start and I was able to play our last game on Saturday well against Oklahoma Baptist University but it has been worsening,” she Nabweteme.

Persson charges defeated the Rangers 6-1 in the first round meeting in Alva a game in which Nabweteme netted a brace and now the onus of finding goals will be bestowed on Alimata Robo incase Nabweteme fails to be fit in time.

South Western Oklahoma State University jointly lead the table with Ouachita Baptist University both tied on 15 points after six games.
