Police Sends 96 CID Officers for Training

Police in a bid to strengthen the investigations department, it has sent 96 its officers for a basic criminal investigations course at Kabalye Police Training School in Masindi district.

A statement issued by AIGP Moses Balimwoyo, the director Human Resource Administration in the Uganda Police states that the selected personnel will attend a one month training starting this December.

Officers have been selected from the districts of Adjumani, Amuru, Busia, Bundibugyo, Lwengo, Soroti, Mukono, Ntoroko, and Luwero among others.

Other areas where officers have been selected include CID headquarters, CPS Kampala, Old Kampala police, Kiira Road Police, Nsanji Police Station and Special investigations unit (SIU, Kireka.

According to the statement, the officers are supposed to report to Kabalye this month on a date that will soon be communicated.
