The military has Monday evening been deployed in Moyo, Northern Uganda to restore sanity following clashes between police and locals over the age limit bill.
The locals had earlier expressed their opposition to the amendment of the Constitution.
But officials say tension has been rising in the area due to poor road infrastructure.
The bad state of the roads has been worsened by the daily rains in the area.
It also emerged that police recently arrested and detained Obongi County MP Fungaroo Kaps, enraging his supporters who vowed to retaliate in future.
When police attempted to arrest the lawmaker on Monday, hell broke loose with his supporters taking on the DPC.
Pictures show the area police being mishandled by locals.
Contacted, Kaps denied the development, saying he was in Kampala.
“That’s not true. I am in Kampala,” said Kaps.
But we are informed the military was later sent in to restore order with the lawmaker fleeing the chaos.
